The program of Viennese community radio Orange consists of spoken-word broadcasts in more than 20 different languages and a diverse music program outside the mainstream. The editors at this free radio station work mostly on a voluntary basis and dedicate themselves to sensitive topics that receive little attention in the media landscape. Civil society–relevant discourses meet new, critical, and diverse audiences in the public medium of radio.
