Predestined biographies, written by life, are sometimes truly complicated entwined, migration of people from the Slovenian side to the Austrian side or the other way around, but they have very diverse causes and consequences. In this program you will learn about the fate of three children of Slovenian parents from Jezersko, born during or shortly after World War II, who were separated from their parents for three years after the war. These three years they spent in various homes for war orphans across Yugoslavia, but happily returned together to their parents. Today, all of them live in Austria, the youngest, Mrs. Xenia Staudinger, a long-time Viennese, still spends every summer at Belska Kočna, near their former home in Jezersko.
