Infopoint, Livable Region

In the municipalities of Schladming and Haus im Ennstal, a total of four new hydropower plants are planned: three run-of-river plants on the Enns and a diversion plant in the Talbach Gorge. Large parts of the local population are opposed to the projects. Hydropower opponents have therefore united to form the citizens' initiative "Wild Water Enns-Talbach Gorge." To pursue their goals even more effectively, the initiative has now founded the association "Livable Region."**
