The Ukrainian poetess Oksana Osmolvska in conversation.
The Ukrainian poetess Oksana Osmolovska from Cherkasy will be in Vienna in May 2026 as a Writers-in-Exile scholarship holder, supported by the IG Authors. In a literadio interview with Astrid Nischkauer, she talks about how she likes Vienna, what this scholarship means to her, and shares her career as a poetess. The Russian invasion of Ukraine has greatly influenced her writing; many of her poems address the war. She discusses this as well as the tasks of literature and her role as a poetess in times of war.
