Dagrofa Foodservice expands its range with over 450 organic products from Aarstiderne

Customers at Dagrofa Foodservice can now literally reap the benefits of the foodservice wholesaler's partnership with Aarstiderne Engros. This means that the country's canteens, restaurants, and cafes will have access to even more organic products. Two years ago, the meal box producer Aarstiderne was acquired by the Dagrofa group, and as part of that process, Aarstiderne Engros and their professional customers have now moved into Dagrofa Foodservice. Specifically, this also means an expansion of the food wholesaler's organic range, which will be supplemented with over 450 new Aarstiderne products. This is especially within the categories of fruit and vegetables, pantry items, and ready-made meals. The partnership also creates increased activity for Aarstiderne, which since 1999 has aimed to inspire more people to eat more greens, more organic, and in season. That ambition no longer stops at the front door of homes, states CEO of Aarstiderne Dorte Tandrup. "The collaboration allows us to bring Aarstiderne's raw materials, expertise, and passion for organic products to many more people than we can alone. Together, we can encourage more kitchens to put fresh seasonal greens on the table for breakfast, lunch, and dinner," says the company's director, who has been a pioneer in the spread of organic and green meals since 1999. Season's best ingredients Michael Christensen, CEO of Dagrofa Foodservice, is pleased that the organic upgrade is now a reality. "Aarstiderne has something very special when it comes to being close to individual organic growers and producers. This results in an incredibly high product quality, which our many professional customers now have access to through our webshop and logistical setup," he says. According to Dorte Tandrup, the partnership offers several benefits for the country's professional kitchens: "For customers of Dagrofa Foodservice, it means access to a range and expertise that can help them improve the quality of their kitchens. They gain easier access to the season's best organic raw materials, inspiration for greener meals, and products developed with a focus on taste, quality, and usability in professional kitchens," she explains. Curious customers have an appetite for organic products Since it was announced earlier this year that Dagrofa Foodservice and Aarstiderne Engros would combine the best of both worlds, Michael Christensen from Dagrofa Foodservice has experienced great curiosity among customers. "I have spoken with some of the country's largest foodservice operators, where there definitely seems to be an appetite to increase the percentage of organic products in kitchens. But we have also seen interest from local restaurants and cafes that are eager to focus more on organic raw materials, so I look forward to following the demand in the coming period." Dorte Tandrup emphasizes that the goal is to make it easier for professional kitchens to meet both their own ambitions and guests' expectations. Private consumers also have access to many of Aarstiderne's organic products, which are available in all Meny stores across the country through a shop-in-shop solution.
