Polish Radio in Upper Austria – 27.09.2026

Today’s program will be dedicated to music, but also to the people who make Polish culture present and recognizable far beyond the borders of the country. The theme of our meeting will be Camerata Polonia – a chamber orchestra that has been operating in Vienna since 2010 and consists of Polish professional musicians living in Austria. My first guest will be Marek Kudlicki – founder and conductor of Camerata Polonia, and also a renowned organist-virtuoso. We will talk about how the idea of creating a Polish orchestra in Vienna was born, and what it means to lead such a band here – in a city with one of the richest musical traditions in the world. The second guest of today’s program will be Aleksandra Szmyd – a Polish soprano artist associated artistically with Vienna. She studied in Kraków and at Viennese music universities, and has performed in many prestigious halls and theaters.
