See the map: Here you find Danish organic strawberries

The strawberry season is underway, and the first organic fields are already bursting with sun-ripened, red berries. The Organic Association has compiled a list of organic strawberry growers across the country, where you can buy freshly picked strawberries or pick them yourself directly in the field. Be aware that opening hours may not always be up to date, so it is always advisable to contact the farm before you go—both to ensure it is open and that there are still strawberries available. The map is updated regularly. Organic berries are the safest choice if you want to avoid pesticide residues. In 2024, the DTU Food Institute found pesticides in 77% of samples of non-organic Danish strawberries and in 94% of non-organic foreign strawberries. No pesticides were found in organic strawberries. Last year, the Food Authority's inspections also showed that conventional strawberries from both domestic and foreign sources contain several different pesticides. In 21 out of 47 samples of strawberries, between three and nine different pesticide residues were detected.
