„Poverty and inequality are political decisions“ – Marlene Engelhorn
The name Marlene Engelhorn has become familiar to many people in Austria this year. The millionaire heiress donated 90 percent of her inheritance – but not at her own discretion, instead a citizens‘ council decided what to do with the 25 million euros. We spoke to her about wealth inequality, tax justice, the taxmenow initiative and why, as a wealthy person, she gets more media attention than experts or people affected by poverty.
You can listen to an excerpt from the interview with her. You can listen to the entire show – in which Daniela Brodesser from AR-MUT also has her say – on October 28 at VON UNTEN im Gespräch.

„We have to talk to FPÖ voters“ – Anna Slama
In view of the national elections and the victory of the far-right FPÖ, which had already been predicted, the demonstration of the OGR (Offensive Gegen Rechts) took place on Thursday, September 26. Today you can hear a speech from the demonstration by Anna Slama, local councillor for the Greens in Graz. Although the election is already over, the fight against the right is no less important after this election result. In her speech, she emphasizes the possible consequences of right-wing politics, but above all how important it remains to talk to people.
