The stalking horse of the Romanian presidential election turned out to be Călin Georgescu, whom many polls did not include as a viable candidate. He won the most votes, and his potential victory would represent a major turnaround in Romanian politics - especially if the upcoming parliamentary elections also bring success for the radical right.
