The cultural capital of the family is responsible for as much as 77 percent of the inequality of opportunity in Poland, the place of growing up is responsible for 18 percent, and gender is barely responsible for 5 percent. In other words, a girl with well-educated parents will have it much easier in Poland than a boy from a home where both partners have a vocational education.
